Review on 🚿 Chrome Plated Diverter Clawfoot Tub Faucet with Heavy Duty 3 3/8" Centers by Kevin Parker

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Looks nice though. on Plumbing

This faucet was bought to replace a similar faucet bought a few years ago which worked but started to drip. Instead of trying to fix it I decided to replace it as it was on loan and I wanted it to be maintenance free. The faucet was used less than 60 days and the switch assembly inside the spout fell out. The renter was able to reassemble it but for some reason only half of the water goes into the shower and the rest comes out of the spout giving the renter a little pressure to shower. (She complained about this at first, but figured it might somehow fix the problem. It didn't help.) When I compare the two faucets, they are identical in every way, except that the old faucet appears to have been built to tighter tolerances . inside so that when you pull the handle/switch knob it stays and very little water comes out of the spout. This appears to be a manufacturing issue as another customer had the exact same issue and I don't see a fix for it. It's time to return it to the manufacturer and reinstall the old one. That's a shame because the faucet looks nice and seems to be quite well made, but when it's not working it's just an expensive paperweight!

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • Can't remember
