I was remodeling my porch and bought this dry paving cutting disc, it cuts paving like butter (it's very dusty so keep in a well ventilated area). I made about 75 cuts and finished my project from start to finish. On closer inspection I think I've worn out most of the cutting compound and am mainly cutting steel substrates, but it still only generates a small amount of heat and I can cut a groove 1" deep x 4" long in about 10 seconds which is nice and clean, I didn't even notice that when I was working. I'd say if you're going to use this thing to cut bricks or pavers I wouldn't hesitate to buy it at a great price.
