I opened mine and everything was well packed. I loaded an 11lb spool of cheap Amazon ER70S-6 .030/0.8mm wire, the spool got stuck because it was in the top of the wall. I'm not sure if it was a problem with the wire spool or the spacing of the welder's spool mounts. I hit the plastic spool with a grinder to clean it and get a smooth feed. Ground and polarity connections are configured for solid wire and twist lock. They are very loose unless you turn them all the way. comes with it. I had to look at the product photo to figure out which connector goes where for MIG plus gas. The wire feed speed is controlled by the volt controller. I hooked it up, welded on the coupon, came with dials for 1/2 max volts and amps. Then I welded my project. I simply gas welded 0.8mm solid wire to a 1/2 and 3/8 plate with all knobs set to maximum for almost 90 minutes continuously. It worked great and I would say it really is 100% duty cycle for .030 so I went with this device.
