I recently purchased this socket adapter set on a trip to Venice, Italy. They were just what I needed to attach the plugs to my hair dryer and curling iron so I could use their outlets. I've also used them to connect my iPhone and iPad (check Apple's FAQ to make sure no converter is needed). I liked that there were multiple sets so I didn't have to switch from one device to another. I had enough to leave each one plugged in and left the third to my mother-in-law for her hair dryer. I would like to point out right away that these are adapters, NOT converters. Check your device to make sure it's safe to use. My curling iron says it works on 120V/240VAC, 50/60Hz, 125W and the hair dryer has a switch (looks like a standard plastic screw head) that I turn to set it to 240V (more European electricity) or 120 V (American electricity). My mother in law initially did not set the hair dryer properly and you could hear the motor whine, everything was fine when the switch was turned to the right position. My hair straightener wasn't rated for 240V so unfortunately I left it at home. All in all I think this is a great product!
