I was looking for mid length shorts with a high and low fit that are not "shorts" but also do not reach to the knees like traditional cycling shorts. . Why is it so hard to find gym shorts that are the same length as my running shorts? Either way, these shorts fit the bill. They are very comfortable to wear both at home and on the street. I walked them for a couple of hours and while they aren't high tech material, they don't slip or irritate. I also like that the waist and bottom seam aren't so tight that they create a "muffin" effect. For reference, I'm 5ft 6in / 160# and usually wear a size 10 jeans and bought XL.
