After buying them and realizing that they are really just a set of rubber bands, the price confuses me a little. Yes, they have a certain diameter and thickness, but it's still just a bag full of rubber bands for $0.02. I paid too much. I also misread the Rockshox Owner's Manual and the various videos available on my Monarch RL shock. I didn't downgrade due to an error of my own. This is mainly due to the ridiculous cost of some rubber bands. I just wanted to point out the characteristics of the device to help others who may be making the same mistake. They only work in high-volume debonair banks. You either need an RC/RT3 or you need to buy a merry upgrade that can be used with your RL/RT/R in order to use them. Everything I found indicated that they work on lower models. I don't recall seeing anything to suggest they were completely useless for adjusting the air volume without upgrading the air cylinder. Not only did I overpay for the rubber bands, but they went straight into the parts box since I can't use them now. It's time to start updating the cylinders.
