Internal dimensions: 6.75" high, 3.75" wide, 1.5" deep. The picture says it's 7 by 4 by 2. The lid is warped so that the top outside corner does not touch the box when it is closed. The gap due to deformation is 1/16", which allows the papers to fall out of the box when closed. The material seems durable. Medium strength magnet - holds the lid in place as long as you don't put anything too heavy in. The book is beautiful (except for the crooked part) Overall I am disappointed and do not recommend buying this product.
