Review on πŸ”§ Ultimate Performance: FEL-PRO HS 9071 PT-2 Head Gasket Set for Superior Engine Protection by Brandon Castano

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Used this kit to replace a head gasket on a 2004 Chevy Impala 3.4L

The kit arrived on time and was half the price on Amazon, $150 less than when the shop bought it would have ordered. If you are making a cylinder head gasket, you will use almost all of the parts in this kit. The only downside is that there are no instructions other than where to use a tiny RTV pipe (included) to seal the heads on the lower intake manifold. But if you're making your own head gasket, you should be smart enough to figure out where things are going. The only gaskets I didn't use were the valve spring guides because I never removed them even when I brought the heads in for machining, a thermostat gasket that looked like it had fallen off a small 350 block, and a couple of O -Rings .rings. The only question I wasn't 100% sure about was which side to put the headgaskets on, but I took my time and made my best guess based on how the factory ones came off since they didn't come with "this side down" are marked." The other bad part of this kit was the o-rings that came with the kit. They all just came in an untagged package. I had to use my best judgment again, who went where. Replacing them on the injectors was a challenge as there are 2 injectors per injector and they are different sizes. When re-installing the injectors make sure to clean them as best you can and use some sort of silicone O- Ring to seal them as mine was leaking Also this fairly basic kit is very good quality and I would only use this high quality kit to get the job done Hope this helps t
