NOT for 1999 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.7L as advertised. It pops the hood in an emergency and only works correctly in that regard, but doesn't even come close to the under-dash style of my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Laredo 4.7L 4x4 mount. I was able to get it to work, but the grip was literally dangling under the dash by the cable itself and only one screw. The pattern with the three screw holes on the handle and the three screw holes under the dash doesn't even remotely match. I wish I could take photos for it. This article says it's for this truck. This is clearly a universal hood pull or for a completely different model. However, as I said, the hood opens with a very slight movement. It's mechanically correct. A few days later, I finally got an AutoZone Special Order OEM version that REALLY exactly matches the original - heck, almost the same price. Everyone needs a universal hood opener NOT a 1999-2003 Jeep Cherokee lol! I'm just having fun. I left it for parts (cables) and a rubber plug for the dashboard.
