Review on Monroe 906989 Strut Mount by Abdalla Galloway

I previously had KYB strut mounts installed on a 2009 Scion XD with new KYB starts and they only lasted 1 year, about 12,000 miles. They were completely destroyed so I replaced them with more expensive Monroes. When I received them they looked exactly the same (probably the same manufacturer). For some reason they have a slight gap (about 1/8 inch) after the top washer is fully tightened, so I had to install another washer. Only time will tell if they hold up. Next time I will look for an OEM part. Overall poor design from Toyota.**** Update - they failed in less than a year.
