Very disappointed with this seat! I did a lot of research before buying the seat so I had high hopes. Unfortunately, despite following the installation instructions exactly, the mount would not tighten to the frame of my 26" Lady's Schwinn mountain bike. Although it felt snug—and the bolts were over-tightened—once my 27-pound son sat in the trunk, the mount slipped from the frame of my bike and the underside of his seat ended up scratching my bike's rear tire. stop the bike abruptly. Also, the instructions are pretty hard to read - fine print and very basic pictures on another page. The seat itself is made of thin, soft plastic , which weighs little but also doesn't feel sturdy.Aside from spending hours trying to install it and not being able to use it, my least favorite part of this seat was the seat belt buckle.It's made of a plastic buckle that goes in a plastic hole gets stuck. There was no buckle closure. I had to put it in the plastic hole to "lock" it and push it back out to "unlock" it. Rudimentary at best, but also problematic because it didn't look very secure. Finally, the chair arrived in a large, plain Revain box with no additional packaging, which I found odd. Before proceeding with the return/refund process, I attempted to contact the manufacturer and the seller. Easier said than done. There are phone numbers on the manufacturer's website, but they appear to be from Italy. There is no other support number for faster help. I couldn't find anywhere on Revain to contact the seller other than leaving a review for the seller - not what I was looking for. Buyers beware. It might work for other bikes - judging by the many positive reviews - but it won't work for everyone. I was pretty confident after reading the reviews and learning that it would work for my bike, but it didn't. I will return this and pay a bit more to buy another seat from a bike shop where they have already assured me they can fit it for me.
