I bought this item a few weeks ago. GOOD NEWS: I was very pleased with its looks and I liked its function when you use it for cleaning, it automatically switches back to the main faucet when you turn off the water flow. The Power Sprayer feature is good too. It sprays water with more force than my kitchen sink hose and really cleans things! (I've found my Moen faucet works best with the gray metric adapter.) But the worst thing is that it doesn't bolt on tight enough and doesn't have the rigidity to hold the entire block. As soon as I turned on the water, the whole setup kicked off! A couple of times I've lost the black washer that fits into the garbage chute in the adapter. (Note to self: next time I try to put something on the faucet, lock the sink!) Without this washer, water will splash EVERYWHERE no matter how hard you try to put it on the sink with the included plastic swivel tool to screw the faucet. A matching washer is included in the package, I had to go to Lowe's and Home Depot to find a washer to replace this. After trying a few "hard" seals and a couple of o-rings, I finally found a crude replacement for the washer with an aerator repair kit. Unfortunately the washing machine wasn't perfect and although I managed to get a decent few days of use. from the device, it suddenly "exploded" again one night just as I was turning on the faucet. SOLUTION: I sent two emails to Instapure customer service one evening over the weekend of July 4th and then called on Tuesday morning. when they opened their stores in Colorado. The support agent was polite, read my emails and listened to my complaint. This time I asked for (and GET) a METAL adapter, as well as two spare washers and a spare metric plastic adapter. Shipped Tuesday and USPS arrived yesterday (Thursday). "Vice” to ensure tightness. NO LEAKAGE. and the device seems to stay on. Let's see how it goes for a month or more. SUMMARY: Filtered water tastes great. functions are nice. Installation is easy BUT BEWARE: the plastic adapters may not hold the unit to the tap! If so, call Instapure (visit their website for their customer support phone number) and ask for a METAL adapter. NOTE FOR INSTAPURE: Instapure, you must ONLY use METAL ADAPTER for this product! That little extra money it costs you pays back many times over in the form of postage savings on postage AND you'll get LOTS more positive customer reviews!
