I love this product! best in water filtration and water softening

I also had the same problem as other reviewers with all 3 spouts leaking in no filter mode. I've tried all the suggestions and no luck! Luckily I contacted Instapure via phone (left a message) and email. They called me straight away and were very helpful. They just sent a new one! That works great. I love the product! I'm glad I contacted them and received such great customer service! I recommend if you have a problem - write/call them! They answer! Don't just whine about the product. If it…

Gets in the way well for kitchen and bathroom supplies

I've moved into a new lease that has one of these Pfister gooseneck faucets. Little did I know I needed a male to female faucet adapter when installing the filter block. I had to take the unit to a large store to make sure it would fit my faucet. After installing the block with the $5 adapter, I found the InstaPure block bulky and dripping. The vegetable washing function spouts too much water, and the filtered water dispenser drips when it is not turned on and weakly dispenses filtered water…

It licks among other things.

The device with the filter is very light, but doesn't look cheap. Once installed, you'll lose a few inches of slack, so all your tall pots and tall thermoses may not fit in your sink to refill. This really broke the deal for me. Where it screws onto my faucet, it flows, doesn't spill or splash, just flows slowly. Even these unused ports leak uncontrollably from time to time. If you can ignore leaks here and there, that shouldn't stop you from buying this filter. I already have a whole house of…

Great Filter: Water Filtration and Softener

After trying the Culligan FM-15A I decided it was time to invest in another water filtration system. I chose this filter because it filters out every pathogen, chemical, and harmful mineral I can think of. plus something else I didn't even know about! Here's what I think of the unit: Pros: - Filter whatever you want - Easy installation - Filter can be changed in 3 seconds without disassembling the unit - Available in white or chrome to match your faucet. Aesthetically pleasing - Filtered water…

Good little water filter

I like this little water filter very much. It was pretty easy to install, the price was in my price range, and it looked nice. At first I was a bit disappointed that the green indicator light didn't work. I wasn't sure if it actually filters tap water so I decided to give it a try. There was such a dramatic difference in the taste of ordinary tap water and filtered water. That was enough to satisfy me. About once a month I do a little taste test to check the effectiveness of the filter. The…

Installation may not be easy, but after that it's a gem

UPDATE 09/24/2014: After about a year and a half the insert washer (I had to use the black one) stopped working and started to wear out. When I finally replaced the system, the washing machine fell apart into small pieces of different sizes. Just something to keep in mind, but I still haven't found a better faucet mounted filtration system and I still really like this one. ORIGINAL: I had a really hard time installing this thing. It's a pretty standard design in that regard, but it would be…

Less than 6 months - a hole has formed in the filter

Media could not be loaded. Installation was pretty easy. A small leak, but nothing significant. I've uninstalled and reinstalled a few times hoping to fix a small leak but nothing worked, including asking the plumber to make sure it wasn't my faucet. Since the leak was minor, I simply placed the coffee maker's jug underneath and let it catch the drips. Don't you know waste? In recent weeks, however, the leak has gotten much worse. I posted a question on Revain to see if anyone else had the same

A RELIABLE attachment to the faucet is accidental.

I bought this item a few weeks ago. GOOD NEWS: I was very pleased with its looks and I liked its function when you use it for cleaning, it automatically switches back to the main faucet when you turn off the water flow. The Power Sprayer feature is good too. It sprays water with more force than my kitchen sink hose and really cleans things! (I've found my Moen faucet works best with the gray metric adapter.) But the worst thing is that it doesn't bolt on tight enough and doesn't have the…

good idea, but poor execution, no adapter included.

UPDATE 3/2013: After using this filter system for over a year I am back to report that it has failed. You can see what we really wanted to believe about this filtration system in my original review below. But I had to replace the faucet fixture twice due to a leak, and about 1 out of 3 filters aren't filtering well enough to remove the bad taste. Instapure's customer service is very nice and will send out a replacement, but it's inconvenient if there's no filtered water waiting for a…
