Nice presentation if you give it as a gift. DH got it during Prime Day last summer and it has quickly become his favorite knife. I'm still a little, but only a little, more likely to reach for my Wüsthoff Santoku knife. Its light weight, ergonomic handle and very sharp edge make it an excellent all-purpose knife. In fact, I'd say it feels more like a great utility knife (only with an 8" blade and not a regular 6" blade). It doesn't have enough weight to give it credibility as a "chef's knife". For most jobs, an 8" chef's knife seems overkill (I'm no pro, just an avid home cook). This is a Goldilocks knife - spot on!
