Warning: I'm not a bike mechanic, but I tend to be analytical. I feel compelled to write a review for this product. In the past I have used the regular stem type with a molded rubber end/plug that seals the stem in the stem bore. My problem with them is that they seem to pull out through the hole if I tighten them enough that they don't blow air out when I connect the air hose. Here's what I like about it: * This stem has a built in flange, a ribbed feature that prevents the stem from being pulled through. * O-rings are standard sizes and can be replaced if necessary. Ring in place so it doesn't spatter when tightening the nut.* Locknut - Although mostly knurled for hand tightening, it also has two square sides so you can use a wrench if necessary.* Remains airtight after bolting. No air let through when pulling on the air hose.
