The chain whip worked perfectly (only used once so far). There are no surprises or disappointments, BUT the instrument itself, which is in the cassette, is absolute junk. All the teeth were chewed out at once, and the small handle of the L-wrench ("auxiliary wrench") is quite dangerous as the tool slips off the cartridge when torque is applied to loosen the retaining ring. Of course I'm glad I didn't chew my knuckles on the greasy teeth of the cassette sprocket! CONCLUSIONS: Revane's Choice is not always the best option. Do yourself a favor and purchase one of the Park Lockring Tools (Model FR-5.2) for use with a standard wrench. A well-made, quality tool costs a few bucks more and is a much safer and more efficient way to get the job done over and over again.
