The first thing I tried after receiving the drill was on a piece of galvanized guttering. It took more than 2 minutes to make the first hole of the first step. The next step was to make another hole of the same size with a Dewalt drill, which worked better. I then went back to the step bit and each increment took about 30 seconds. . In the end you get what you pay for. There's a reason you might want to spend $50 for the same size. .If you have to walk through a piece of stainless steel, you have to think about what you are willing to spend. Good for my infrequent use.
