It fully met my expectations. I wish it had another USB-C slot, but that's not a problem - it would just be nice. I read a few reviews that said there might be heat issues but I haven't found anything like this and it gets used all day. I use it for Ethernet, external SSD, USB keyboard and HDMI for the monitor. All are holding up well. I am very happy with this purchase. Update January 2021: I got eleven months use on the device. At this point, the Ethernet port stops working. For me, that was the main advantage of this device over others. The device also seems to have a device interrupt style that clearly comes from this device: there's now a 1-2 second freeze and then, and you might not notice it on a multifunction device, but there are also instances in where everything freezes for 10 seconds or more, and while it doesn't happen that often (once or twice a day) you feel like this is the culprit. I've put the rating at three stars mainly because I can overlook the freezing aspects a bit and over the year I've found the unit to be quite enjoyable. However, it has a short lifespan and this should cause others to be wary.
