Review on Abatron Wood Restoration Kit - 24oz: LiquidWood Epoxy Wood Hardener/Consolidant (12oz) + WoodEpox Epoxy Wood Filler (12oz) by Seth Hogate

These are two products that work very well together. Both products are two parts that you mix together to activate the curing process. The liquid product really penetrates the raw wood and creates a solid material. The instructions say you can clean rotten wood, but I haven't tried it. I carved some really soft wood and then brushed it with preservative. It worked great. Don't worry it's a little thick. The putty is surprisingly light. You put two components together and then probably spread them out with a spatula. In my experience it didn't work. The putty is too dry and crumbly, more like dry clay than creamy. I ended up attaching it mostly by hand (with gloves). It looked lumpy and lousy. But after hardening a lot, it polished very well and took shape. The end result is smooth and durable and easy to work with. The grip on the wood was great (possibly due to the liquid used first. The end results are great, but plan for some tweaking and shaping after it has cured.
