Review on Tecoom Breathable Material Waterproof Windproof by Bobby Cantu

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Not waterproof and lowers the rating.

I am changing my rating to 1 star. • The first rain of the season was light and car coverage was good. However, as winter set in and the usual heavier rains in the Pacific Northwest began, I found that the car cover was anything but waterproof. Not only is this car cover not waterproof, it is even worse. It actually keeps the water under the tarp so the car doesn't dry out - it's best not to use it. • It's also too big for a 171-inch car. I have had other car covers and have never struggled with a cover as much as this one. Buy it, you'll see what I mean. 172". Put it on a friend's 4-door Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV - it almost fits! (The attached picture doesn't show the front of the SUV, but I assure you it covers the bumper) (At the time of ordering Revain said it fits my car and so does Tecoom (the product description has since been edited to show it doesn't fit my car)• After I posted my original 3 star review, the manufacturer contacted me in October and said he is working on a new and improved car cover which will be available in December and will be better suited to smaller coupes and they expected me to change my rating to 5 stars I see they have other reviewers promised the same but here's the thing: I'd love to try a new, more suitable car cover, I don't see the point if it isn't waterproof, breathable or water retaining i St. Convertible top with a small 4x8 foot tarpaulin. This is when "you got what you paid for". Pay extra and get the best car coverage. (Original rating) 3 stars for my first impressions of the vehicle paintwork. I will revisit this review after the first heavy fall/winter rains. This is a good case and at a great price. I use the smallest size available for a compact car, a Porsche Boxster. It's too big and if it was 25% smaller I would give it 5 stars. Whatever it is, it's too bulky, too easy to attach to the machine without turning a side and slipping off smooth material. So far I haven't seen any scratches through the material and that's what worries me the most. My next concern is to be 100% waterproof and still breathable. It costs over $40 and it's not a thick Porsche OEM cloth cover that fits like a glove and also costs over $300. So if it keeps the car dry and doesn't scratch it that easily, I'll give it 5 stars. 3 stars so far because it's too big and heavy, quick and easy to put on.
