Review on 🍞 Cuisinart CPT-640 Stainless Steel 4-Slice Metal Toaster by Lisa Zulo

So far, so good. - Toaster

About an hour ago I received my Cuisinart 4 Wide Slot Toaster. I recommend running it on level 1 WITHOUT bread after about 2 bread cycles to burn off any build debris. Be sure to let it cool down between cycles. You may smell a slightly funny odor while doing this. This comes from the particles burning the heating elements. As you can see, the toaster looks very good, fresh look, nice brushed stainless steel color, light weight and easy to use. As far as cleaning goes, I've found that all toasters, regardless of brand, have issues with it. Sometimes breadcrumbs get stuck behind the metal grids inside, making cleaning very difficult. It is in no way inferior to all the others when it comes to ease of cleaning. There is a ledge on the underside of the toaster. During toast cycles, I noticed that those raised areas at 4 seem to stay a bit cool, while above that the top and back get hot. So it's nice to have a place to grab the toaster if I need to move it and it's still hot. I would wait for it to cool completely before storing it. As said, there are still areas that get hot. Now for the toast. I used 1 for toast cycles and toasted 2 slices of bread. It was lightly browned, not browned, but slightly crispy. Now on level 4, with 2 slices of bread on one side, it was toasted a hair's breadth darker than the other side. You can see in the photos. So not bad, nah. Now level 4 gives them a decent tan and goes up to 7. I prefer mine around 4. I have a feeling 7 would probably almost burn if you like that flavor and crispy crust. When I checked the elements, their heating seemed uneven, but when toasting bread, the photo is again; it still toasted fairly evenly or fairly close on both sides. So maybe it's intentional. It has the function of 1 slice for 1 slice. So it's nice. I noticed that it picks up fingerprints very easily, so that's a minus. Another disadvantage is the somewhat wobbly handles. This may be a problem with breakage in the future. I've seen this in some posts or reviews where the handle is broken. So I definitely have to see it. There is another problem with this toaster. It's a little difficult to wrap the cord around the bottom. I'll have to keep playing with it. I am replacing my GE toaster that I have had for 12 years. This item has been very well made. All knobs and knobs look new. A 12-year-old toaster hasn't worn a single mark, let alone faded. See photo. At the same time, elements eventually began to disappear and performance dropped. Sad. I'm a huge Cuisinart fan and wanted to try their toaster. Hope it lasts as long. Just take a look. So far things are looking good. I will update if anything changes.
