A durable and versatile table mount for your aerial photography. It can just be quite painful to use!

This mount might be my favorite desk mount, but it never will be. CONS: (1) The main cons here are the tension knobs, they're pretty hard to use! especially if you find yourself in a shooting situation where you frequently need to loosen and tighten the mount to adjust it to desired angles or tilts. The knobs are very difficult to turn as they are (partially) made of pure plastic, and my fingers hurt a lot on several occasions. making this design very counterintuitive at best. These grips could be softened with some sort of rubber band to be comfortable for your fingers if you want to screw the mount in and out at any given time, or better yet, just let them switch clamps! Whilst the folding hinge design of this mount added nice versatility to the rods, it all boiled down to the overall length of each rod so you really aren't getting a lot of extension and coverage for your workspace and whatever you're trying to do. Recording. (2) The overall length of this monopod is quite short. It would be great if they could be retracted and extended.(3) Most clamp rods are round, but this mount has a hex shank! I'll never understand the idea behind it because it slightly zeroes out the overall design/ergonomics! Making this shaft hexagonal is counterintuitive at best and a problem as it completely hampers the ability to fine-tune the exact angle of the lever you want, effectively leaving you stuck at 6 positions where you can only tighten the base clamp, and does this affect negatively impacts the overall user experience in two ways: First, every time the clamp bolt hits the hex edges of the bar instead of landing on the flat surface of the bar? this will effectively prevent it from actually taking a hit before use and. Secondly, you never get the desired fixed angle for the set topcam for this reason, simply because the best point can just land on the hex edge of the rod, so you have to do that from time to time until you can finally find a good angle to fix to snap. However, if it were made like a typical round bar, that would be fine. but I really hope they make this adjustment in their future designs. I like the idea that the poles can be folded three ways rather than being limited to just a 90ยฐ design. (2) The table clamp itself holds the whole setup really really tight and everything seems pretty solid. (3) The main highlight of this product is the fact that they come with a ball head adapter which really solves a lot of the problems that come with the pan/tilt/swivel limitations of this desktop mount. (4) Very good for close-up/macro shooting. and low-angle video. Conclusion: This desk mount could easily be one of my favorite mounts, but was very disappointed with its very short length, hex shank, and awkward use of handles. At least not ergonomically. If you're looking to buy this for your top camera and want something easy to use and with a good length? THAT'S NOT THE THING, save your money and time and buy something else. I might consider it for secondary use only, there will surely come days when it will come in handy for some other purpose.
