Review on 🎡 Enhanced BOSS Audio Systems 755DBI In-Dash MP3 Receiver with Solid State Technology and Convenient Built-In iPod Docking Station by Chris Rob

Total crap, avoid at all costs

I bought this receiver to replace a Sony CD receiver that didn't have an AUX input. It worked fine for about a week, and over the following months one after the other broke or failed. The first alarm is that you cannot program the watch. It never runs, so it stays on that time forever no matter what time you set it. The second warning sign is that the FM tuner is not working. If you're trying to find a station, it just stops where it wants to, regardless of whether there's anything on that frequency or not. Essentially, you have to manually scroll through the pages and program the channels that way. In fact, the tuner is useless. To make matters worse, the tuner's top/bottom bezel fell off, revealing a glowing LED inside and small microswitches that should have touched the bezel. Instead, I have to stick my finger in this thing to pry up these little switches when I want to use these controls. It's funny how bad this thing is. The flimsy dock that the iPod is connected to stopped working about a week after installation. And finally, the amp sounds crappy in it. The plain Sony I had 7 years earlier sounded much fuller and warmer. This unit sounds harsh and harsh, and the signal from it is distorted long before I reach the limit of my speakers. DO NOT BUY. I can't imagine how anyone could have had a good experience with this Boss product. My only thought is that they either just installed this thing when they wrote their review or the boss has completely overhauled it since I bought mine. After this experience I will never buy a Boss product again.
