I bought these to replace one of the clips holding the wood paneling on the driver's door of my E92 which has cracked over time. These clips look exactly like the one I was trying to replace, but they were too big to fit in the hole where the original clip was (and I tried to press pretty hard). To make matters worse, the metal pin on the wooden board didn't fit in the clamp: I stuck it halfway in before it took so much effort that I had to stop. It was also nearly impossible to remove the clip from the stylus when I realized it wasn't going to work. Unlike the OEM clips, the metal ring in some of these clips is shaped like a fishhook so when you try to pull the panel out it will bite into the metal pin. Anyway, I gave up and paid $2.50(!) for a replacement clip from my local dealer. He entered the door panel with little effort, and the metal pin of the escutcheon went the same way.
