Works great after fixing Verizon SIM issue

If you purchase Winegard ConnecT 2.0 and plan to install a Verizon SIM card, before initializing ConnecT, contact Winegard Technical Support to ensure your ConnecT is currently working with the Verizon -Software is compatible. I recommend contacting them via email. Read on for more details. After installation, I found that the WiFi extender works very well. It pulled out a lot of WiFi network signals, although most of them were blocked, but that's to be expected. The open networks found worked well and I was able to use them without any problems. A month later I bought a SIM card from Verizon. I took the Winegard ConnecT user guide to my local Verizon store so they could properly activate the card using the details on the label on the front of the user guide. After installing the SIM card, I kept getting an error message saying my Winegard ConnecT couldn't connect to my Verizon data plan. After a quick email exchange with Winegard Technical Support, they asked me to send them my ConnecT data log. They then said that my current ConnecT software is not compatible with Verizon SIM cards and that they are working on a software update. In the meantime they emailed me an older version of the software which is compatible. I downloaded the old software and it works great now. I found it odd that Winegard released a software update without properly testing it, but they responded to my email very quickly and helped me get started for a while. I would give the Winegard ConnectT 2.0 five stars if it weren't for the software problem.
