Most difficult hardware installation

I bought these to improve the look of the IKEA dresser. They look great but the nasty setup really detracts from this product. I had to buy new screws (okay, IKEA drawer fronts are flimsy, that was reasonable), but even with 3/4" screws, they were almost impossible to screw in. hole after adding color. You can see in my third photo that I didn't even try to put a screw in the hardware. But my hands are red and sore from trying to tighten it enough to be flush with the box. Anyway, I had to use washers AND shorter bolts. I wouldn't recommend them even though they look nice. Spend a little more money and get something easier to assemble.
