Review on 🔧 Polymaker ASA Filament 2: High-Quality 3D Printing Material for Precise and Durable Prints by Mike Rubenstein

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A very good, reliable filament family with the right pressure profile.

ASA is my main thread. I have purchased every color of Polymaker ASA except white and will likely do so if another brand's current reel runs out. All in all, these filaments can be printed without any problems on my FLSun QQ-S Pro with a closed and heatable build chamber. They print consistently: bed at 75°C, nozzle at 255°C, chamber at 45°C. Good ventilation or a VOC scrubber is recommended as these threads emit a distinctive odor. The only issue I can document is their tendency to unravel easily when first opened due to the thread being packed very tightly at the tip. Have already bought again and will continue to buy unless another economy filament with broad properties that can print below 300C is introduced.

Pros
  • Matte finish
Cons
  • Available in white only
