Good replacement for real torque wrench

After finding the 600# torque wrench sticker, I decided to give it a try. A good choice for those who just need a torque wrench that rarely hits the high end. I needed this to tighten some U-bolts on an RV that needed to be up to 180 ftlbs. Next use would be a gear nut on a Dana 80 that requires 600 lbs. I've looked at some standard torque wrenches in the 300-pound range, but they all only had a 24-inch handle. Kick 150 pounds. It's tough enough with a 24" wrench. Dial 300 would be fun if not for the addition of a cheat on the handle. I have a 48" 1" drive breaker. Adding this to my stem along with a 3/4" x 1" adapter made getting the torque right a breeze. Love the audible alarm which I could hear even with my altitude deafness (I can't hear the alarm on my watch and it drives my wife crazy). With the display of the maximum torque you can check whether you have really reached the goal. I checked the accuracy with a 150 pound wrench that I've used for thirty years and everything was fine. The downside is the extra clearance required for installation in spaces that may not have enough room for the extra length of torque adapter.

Cons
