Simple and easy installation. It only took 40 minutes to unplug the OEM inlet and install the Airaid. Remember to disconnect the battery during installation to reset the ECM. This is extremely important if you expect performance improvements. The ECM must recalculate and adjust the engine settings based on the increase in airflow. Therefore, all previous settings must be deleted. If you don't disconnect the battery and let it run for 4 to 5 hours you won't see any difference in performance. After installing and reconnecting the battery, I drove the Jeep 30 miles down the road to allow the ECM to calibrate itself based on the increased airflow. Acceleration feels smoother, revs at 50mpg are about 500-800 lower than before in 6th gear and I'm seeing a 3-4mpg increase. I used to get 18-19mpg on the road with Airaid, now I'm fluctuating between 21-23mpg with stops. Cruising consistently on country roads at speeds of 25-45mph, I used up to 24mpg. I'll update the post after a freeway trip this weekend where I'll average 55-70mph. All in all, I'm impressed with the Airaid CAIB compared to the K&N I had in my 2007 Jeep. Again, be sure to disconnect the battery and leave the Jeep with the battery disconnected for at least 3 hours to allow the ECM to reset. You may need to enter a security code for your radio if the battery has been disconnected. If you do not have a security code, contact your dealer. Updated 07/29/2016. Went shopping tonight for a 20 mile round trip. When I got home I checked the MPG gauge and it showed over 25mpg.
