Automatic watch, you simply select whether daylight savings time applies in your area (via the slide switch on the back), insert an AA battery and hang it on the wall. Shortly thereafter, the clock will automatically sync with the US atomic clock in Colorado (or elsewhere) and Bob will become your (favorite) uncle! I love this watch, the second hand ticks every minute and it's accurate because it syncs every night (around 2am). If Daylight Saving Time comes or goes, the clock will show the correct time the next morning (change at 2am), so no problem. Your only task is to find a place to install and the hard work of installing an AA battery! (smiling) It's golden! Bought to replace an old block that stopped working after 13 years (drum roll). In fact, only the second hand stopped on the old clock. So I went ahead and got this beauty. Perfect for seniors with GREAT easy to read numbers and LONG battery life!
