Review on Wi-Fi router TP-LINK TL-MR6400, black by Hoo Chong ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Beyond praise! The product definitely deserves your attention.

I bought version v5 in amazon, with the ability to connect an external MIMO - antenna, for installation in the country (Internet, iptv). Native antennas almost do not amplify the signal, you should not expect miracles from them. Almost 8 km from the base station (not in direct line of sight) in the attic of a country house, it receives 35 Mb / s on native antennas. In the house on the first floor, it catches only 2-3 Mb / s on the window. In the attic, I installed a maimo Anteks petra antenna 10 dB (into the roof space) and threw a couple of 5 meter high-frequency wires into the room. Now on the router the speed is 35-50 Mb / s. In the summer I will shorten the wires to the minimum length and count on an additional increase in speed, although I already have more than enough. Who cares, the distribution range strongly depends on the strength of the received signal, so, for example, with native antennas, it hit 5 meters through 2 wooden walls, now it hits 20 meters through the same walls, but the speed at the far point is 1-2 Mb / s. That is, who is chasing the range, the antenna is more powerful and the wires are shorter, ideally, not HF, but twisted pair. Beeline works for me (connection z), frequency 1800 (B3). Antenna Petra Anteks, cable assembly 2 * 5 meters HF 75 Ohm + F-SMA pigtail. I did not take the antenna outside, because the pediment, as it turned out, had almost no effect on the signal, while wind and precipitation did not affect the antenna. In general, as a router for a summer residence, it is quite satisfied, enough for 4K television and the Internet. Something like this)

Has pros: not bad catches in a place with poor coverage of the mobile network. distributes quite well: it breaks through log walls, almost covers 15 acres. Its cons: I bought it cheaper. What did it rise in price faster than the course .
