Good idea, bad design

At first glance this ZeroWater water dispenser looked exactly what I wanted, but when I received it I was disappointed with the poor design. First there was an issue with the glass which had large air bubbles. This is a clear sign of poor quality control. On the other hand, the glass has a good thickness, so it shouldn't break easily. The main reason I bought this water filter/tank was to have more affordable clean drinking water that does NOT bathe the water in any kind of toxic plastic. When I saw that this is a glass jar I thought it would meet those requirements, but the poor design and quality control is disappointing. in contact with water - still plastic. In addition, the nozzle is also made of plastic and is set too high. I've tested it and you'll always have at least a gallon of water in a container that you can't use (because the water is under the faucet). Note this must be a 2.5 gallon dispenser. You cannot use about half of this water because the tap is set too high. Speaking of the plastic faucet, there are some reviews stating that the silver paint on the cheap plastic faucet that comes with the kit just peels off and gets into the water. You can replace your nozzle with a stainless steel nozzle. They cost around $10-15 and are worth it. The faucet that Zerowater gives you is very slow and only pours out water. To give you an idea of how slowly water flows out, let's say it takes about 4 minutes to fill a cup. Another advantage of switching to stainless steel is that the water comes out much faster. The water tank should also be made of glass or stainless steel, but even that is just more toxic plastic. Ironically, the base, which could actually be made of plastic, is made of stainless steel. ZeroWater has to spend more than ten minutes developing its water tanks. The whole idea is to have clean drinking water and unfortunately this product will not do that.
