Well, I can honestly say that I'm happy with this little invention. From the start I wasn't sure how I would feel about this, but I think it's good for me and my family. In general, one of the problems we have with cast iron pans and saucepans is that after cooking steaks and other foods, scale builds up on them. I usually use a Brillo pad or SOS pad to clean them but I can't get that many. I also don't think it's good for the pan in general. I like that this one doesn't use all of the harsh detergents or chemicals to clean it and still leaves the pan flavored and intact. I found this to be fairly easy to clean as the way the rings are made allows the sponge some flexibility so it can be easily rinsed out. I'm happy with it so far.
