There is nothing to complain about with this lock. It works as advertised. It comes with a pair of keys and some smart locks only come with one. The installation instructions are simple except the smart tag instructions are wrong. You should make it clear that you need a gateway for full remote access. It makes sense, but it's not entirely clear from the description. The only place this product could really improve is the rubber backing that attaches to the door. I believe the main purpose of this is to keep water out. However, with a smooth door, if you don't screw the lock to the door more tightly than it should, it will easily slip on the door. It's hard to describe, but basically the lock doesn't exactly stay on the door. Eventually it will move and warp over time as people turn the knob. It's the only distance he can travel, so it doesn't look like he's going to start going in circles. My point is that they could use a little more sticky gum. Something that will hold up even to a smooth metal door. I doubt anyone will have problems with rough finish or wood doors. On the other hand, I think that a smooth wooden door can also be problematic. I solved this problem by screwing a few more screws into the lock directly into the metal door. Although it's not something anyone should do. They won't let you give 4.5 stars so I'll give 4 stars but maybe 5 if the above issues are fixed. Support responded quickly to my problem with smart tags. Although it would just be better if they corrected their instructions.
