It's a big bulb, that's for sure. I found out the hard way that these light waves emitted by this bulb are too intense for a baby plant, so all I had to do was use an LED on this plant until it was old enough to have this larger, more intense light use. But I installed it in my shop and it puts out more light than 2 of those floury bulbs and it's pure white, perfect for taking pictures or just looking for things in general. The thermal displacement of this bulb isn't enough to worry about because I can pull it out of the socket with my bare hand while it's on and it's only warm, so I'll say it's good for pets and kids, because if you knock them over, there will be no fire hazard. Only downside is the huge size but easy to buy compared to the price just buy the thing. I will install it in my kitchen because I like well lit places.
