Great product saves me buying another dryer

When I moved to a new house I bought a washer dryer kit on Craigslist without measuring the space as everything seemed very 'standard' . But when I turned on the dryer, she barely moved the swingarm of the outer door right next to her. The outer wall was on the right side of the dryer, but due to the placement of the cleats, the actual vent wasn't exactly at the back of the dryer, but slightly up front. This means that any ventilation solution I can come up with will require a very short 90 degree bend in addition to the 90 degree bend on both the back of the dryer and the wall side. All in all a very unusual and dense location. It took a lot of effort to get these devices (and there were a lot of them) so I was determined to get them working. I'm standing on the stove and the wall next to the dryer was the bedroom so there was no alternate vent route. Went to a large store and found a telescope port that looked like this but was 3 inches wide at its thinnest point. It's pretty obvious that this won't work right away. I decided to cheat and get the cheapest flexible tubing and see if I could compress it down to the right size. (on purpose, I'm sure!) and instead kept shoving the dryer in the way of the door. Also, I didn't want a campfire and I'm proud of my work, I feel good even when it "came up". . Decided to take a chance with this vent as it is 2 inches wide which is about the clearance of my dryer on the back and right side. I knew I had to change it, but I wasn't sure how much effort it would take. When I received it I measured everything and carefully planned how I would cut and glue the unit to make a 90 degree bend just in front of the socket. A couple of metal snips, some aluminum tape and in about 15 minutes I had a fully custom made vent that snapped PERFECTLY into place. It took a bit of dexterity to get both ends into the back of the dryer and the outside vent, but the end result was so flawless it was worth all the effort. My door now has a gap of at least 1 inch and the dryer matches the washer perfectly. I am very happy.
