Great gun for the money

I bought this gun without expecting much from it. I'm an aspiring artist and only spray with high quality guns like Sata, Iwata and Devilbiss. I have the Devilbiss GTI for the base coat which I love for metallics and pearls and the Sata RP 1.3 for the clear coat. At the same time, I wanted a gun specifically for dense and solid colors (no metallic flakes or mother-of-pearl). That's why I decided to risk this weapon and I'm very glad I did. I can definitely tell it apart from high end guns but for what I use this particular gun does the job perfectly! It lays down the material evenly and evenly. I fire this gun at 30psi, the bullet is wide open, the liquid is swirled a few turns, and it does the job well. The only thing I don't like about this gun is that it comes out of the box soaked in spray lube, which a quick breakdown and cleaning will obviously fix. It also comes with a filter cartridge which I never use. Now I will say that these cheaper guns last longer if you don't soak them in a thinner based cleaner and leave them lying around for a long time because the gaskets in them swell and fail. I just wash it several times with a solvent cleaner until it's clean, add some thinner and close the lid until next use (thinner won't hurt). *Also for those of you who use the PPS system like me, the adapter size for these TCP Global pistols is #2 on all.* Simply place teflon tape around the pistol threads and gently tighten and tighten the adapter. Sorry for the long review but I personally find it really helpful when someone gives genuine feedback and advice on a product. But they are good guns for the money they cost. I've only sprayed them a couple of times and so far they've been fine and at this price if it doesn't last more than a year or so I'm fine with that. Hope that helps!

Pros
  • 1.4mm tip ideal for full atomization when spraying basecoats, clearcoats, single sprays and other light to medium viscosities.
Cons
  • Modernity
