Review on 🌐 Enhanced GPS HAT for Raspberry Pi A+ or B+ - Mini Kit by Adafruit by Cindy Martinez

GPS location data is ok but can't use elevation data

I bought this to replace a SparkFun USB GPS device I've been using for 2 years in a Raspberry Pi that installed on the dashboard of my truck. I was initially impressed that it has an RTC and the form factor eliminates the need for a separate USB connected GPS. I drive a lot in the desert and one of the main reasons I have a GPS is to determine the altitude I am at. I immediately noticed that the reported altitude was far from what I thought was the correct altitude, sometimes by hundreds of feet, even though enough satellites were being tracked to report the correct altitude and the reported latitude/longitude was at least as accurate as that SparkFun unit rotation. After several parallel tests of both devices, I can only state that this GPS is not suitable for altitude data and will not work for me.
