How to fix the spring problem

The spring slippage problem (holder appears to have a 'broken' spring) that others have mentioned is really poor engineering. The good news is that this is pretty easy to fix if you can use a screwdriver. The main issue is that the post that holds the spring inside the tablet holder has a very slight incline. So if the spring is stretched for a larger tablet (or a 7 inch tablet held by the sides in landscape mode) it will slip off. smooth plastic pin A small notch in the pin prevents the spring from slipping Total repair time about 15 min. A nail file may also work.) 2. OPEN THE "BROKEN" HOLDER: Pull back the top edge of the rubber pad, around the top two corners to expose. screws and 2 center side screws. Bend back the 2 bottom corners to expose the 2 bottom corner screws. Leave the rest of the liner glued to the body to make re-gluing easier. Remove all 6 screws. STAND: The problematic stand is on the sliding part of the holder, not on the fixed part. this. Take a file (or whatever) and make a small notch in the pin to hold the nib. You don't need a deep recess. Put the spring back on the posts, assemble the parts and insert the screws. Glue the seal back in place. DONE! In any case, the repair is easier to perform than it reads and it will be much clearer what to do once you open the holder. Unfortunately, the company is not responding to people experiencing this issue. Aside from the spring/strut issue, this is a well designed and built unit. If it didn't have a spring problem it would have earned the 5 stars that many have given it.
