The seller contacted me and refunded the product, noting that the water resistance advert was wrong. I can keep the goods too. They will update their advertisement for this product. This device is advertised as being compatible with IPX6 water resistance but as you can clearly see in the instructions that came with the device this is a lie, only IPX5. It also states not to use this product when wet. It's an emergency radio for situations like a hurricane, right? Also, the device arrived only 69% charged. The product is advertised as paid in three ways: solar panel, hand crank, and USB-c. The instructions state that the use of a solar panel or hand crank should be avoided whenever possible in an emergency. I'm sure that's why someone would buy this device. Finally, I'm not too familiar with NOAA stations, but none of the 7 provide any information. Maybe they only play for emergencies, but I can't test it until I need it. I live in South Florida so I'm sure NOAA should be a priority here.
