Update: I use this for onions, tomatoes, sausage ribbons, lettuce and it speeds up with no effort. This is a very well made RADA serrated slicer knife made in the USA. It uses US high carbon steel. Although sharp and serrated, it is not as sharp as a filleting knife. The handle is a good solid piece of hardwood, polished smooth but still comfortable to grip. I like to cut fruit and veg with it. The 5 inch blade and 9 inch overall length makes this a smaller knife that I really like. smaller than any of my Mercer or Dexter knives I've been looking for a quality smaller/shorter knife and this RADA is perfect for me. I think they oversize most knives by about 20%. Not on the cheaper side, but well worth the money IMO.
