Review on ๐Ÿข Holmes HUL310-U-2 1 Gallon Ultrasonic Humidifier, Adjustable Mist, White by Shannon Chisholm

Revainrating 3 out of 5

I am in between. about heating, cooling and air quality

Let's start by saying I bought three of these and two of them cracked. My first impression of this humidifier was perfect. It's actually a warm mist. It produces a huge amount of vapor. I really, really want to love him. It works very well. However, the reservoir appears to be extremely fragile. In the beginning I bought two. I use them all day, every day. I made the mistake of adding peppermint oil to the reservoir of one of my humidifiers (I learned that lesson the hard way). For those who don't know what happens when you do this. That broke the humidifier. Apparently the right way to do this is to soak the little retractable cotton square that's at the bottom of the machine. But I didn't know, so I found out that peppermint oil would melt the plastic between the reservoir and the sink and cause corrosion throughout the sink. This made the tank stick to the pool. Because they got together. When I tried to remove the reservoir from the pool, the reservoir broke. Damn. But at that moment I thought it was my own work. So I bought another one. That's number three - it's meant to replace my minty disaster. A few days later, when I was filling the first one, I noticed a 6 inch tear running from the white liner at the bottom of the tank up the side wall to almost halfway through the blue. There were no essential oils in this humidifier. It also didn't stick to the pelvis. I wasn't rough with it at all. I don't know why it ripped or how it happened. I've only had him for two months. The tank seems very fragile. So I returned it in exchange for Vic's moisturizer. which I received today. Calm. But it doesn't seem to have the same performance as this device. However, the tank appears to be much more durable. It doesn't have a directional steam nozzle that this device has. According to Vic, they have the same performance, but Holmes is much more visually striking. Vick's vapor outlet is much larger so it may look smaller, but it certainly doesn't seem to put out as much vapor. The Vic humidifier takes up less space than the Holmes humidifier, but only has high and low settings and a light that stays on when the unit is on. To be honest I am very disappointed. This device would be perfect if the tank was a little more durable. Split two in less than two weeks for fear of buying another one. But I haven't found a better solution. Especially since most humidifiers produce a cool mist for some reason and that just doesn't work for me.
