Defect, burner does not go out.
Spend more for a better product. I just received my Proctor Silex burner and tested it right away. Heats up very quickly, but doesn't go out. I turn the knob to the off position and the light stays on and keeps heating. The only way to turn it off is to unplug it. It's so cheap it's not worth returning. Due to defective products and the horribly slow/hanging Revain shopping app, I will be canceling my primary membership and shopping elsewhere.
