Review on Blue Ox BX1718 Baseplate Suburban by Christopher Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great product after the trouble of installing!

This will NOT fit a 2015 Tahoe with Adaptive Cruise Control directly, despite what Blue Ox claims. To be honest I was a little pissed that the installation guide was wrong the way it was. Blue Ox - have you guys specifically tried installing the BX1718 baseboard for my model and year? I really feel like Blue Ox tried to turn the BX1718 into a blanket set trying to cover 15-19 year old Suburbans, Tahoes and Yukons. Tight but no cigar for a 2015 Tahoe with adaptive cruise control. During installation you will need to: - drill new holes in the frame (the instructions assume all the holes in the frame are already in place) - purchase additional screws from a hardware store as the kit assumes existing screws on the frame will be used be able. It almost goes crazy if the car's front panel doesn't fit perfectly when you put it back on. almost an inch from the bottom as the base plate pushes the car's wiring harness and then the entire bezel comes out. Call your mechanic brother-in-law to help with the installation and ask them to match any defects with the BX1718 kit as per my specific model and year afterwards.
