Maybe the indicators aren't the most important part, but they certainly come in handy for knowing whether or not you're connecting to an active outlet. My computer only likes two USB 3.0 ports, adding this baby gives me LOTS more options. Phones charge faster. Portable WiFi jetpacks charge faster. Images are transferred faster. Everything is faster with USB 3.0, and this gadget is both beautiful and practical. There is no performance behind and around anything else. Simply install the hub in a convenient location, plug it into a USB 3.0 port and you've now upgraded that port to 16 ports.
