These new 2.5 inch spring clips are an updated version of the original quarter inch force Pony 2 spring clips that have been around for decades. The main improvement is the new rubber padding on the handles and jaws, which are softer and provide better grip on the clamping surface. Only time will tell if the new rubber seal will outlast the hard plastic seal that used to wear out on the working end of the old spring clips. Despite this, they are still the most convenient clamps for thousands of clamping applications. An indispensable item in every home.
