Well, although I can't help but wonder if I would have liked the other one better.

I've spent a lot of time finding the perfect pan and this one looked promising. I was disappointed when I received it to find that it didn't have a reservoir on the flat side to drain the grease as some reviews said and that looked like it could be in the photos but in the end I didn't Don't use enough lube for this for it to matter anyway. It was pre-seasoned and that pre-seasoning was pretty much useless, so I'm sorry I let that influence my decision. I actually got this for the flat side for pancakes and eggs, but I had a lot of sticking problems that I could never solve with seasoning and I finally gave up and bought a Teflon flat pan. Maybe I could use this better if I split it up and made the linseed oil layered spice that people recommend, but that seems like too much hassle. However, I just love the other side, which I use for frying burgers and steaks. Steaks turn out better than in a skillet, although I have a hard time finding temperatures high enough to keep them from burning without smoke. In addition, it is difficult to clean because the grease gets stuck in the corners. I also think I should have gone for a frying pan with real handles. If I had to do it again I would try a different pan, but honestly I don't know if I wanted this one better or not. It has a large surface area and isn't too bad in terms of heat distribution.

Pros
  • Pre-seasoned with 1% natural vegetable oil
Cons
  • I'm worried
