Love it! Of course, we have the first thing we have prepared.

Love it! Of course, the first thing we cooked on it was bacon too! The taste is very different than cooking in a teflon pan and in my opinion much better. I haven't had any sticking issues, but I can roll and cook on cast iron too. If you haven't used cast iron or had to dig a new surface, do a little research first. Even pre-seasoned foods need a little maintenance before they're ready to eat!

Pros
  • For roasting, baking, frying or grilling
Cons
  • Functionality

Love this grill pan

I'm a big cast iron fan and this was a great addition. I've read several reviews complaining of food sticking or difficulty cleaning the pan. It's cast iron, you need to make sure it's well oiled and hot enough or the food will stick. A stiff brush (but not a steel brush) is great for cleaning, and cast iron gets better (easier to clean, more adhesive) over time. Delivered quickly (by fast I mean I ordered it around 6pm and had it on my porch by 9am) and was well packaged.

Pros
  • Dual handles for excellent control
Cons
  • Hard to say

Glue Disaster: Kitchen and Dining Room

I only cook with cast iron and have been cooking for many years. This pan is supposed to be pre-seasoned, but I seasoned my new pan anyway. Fried bacon and I've never seen bacon sticks look so bad. After the crash it left a rusty outline where the bacon was after I washed it. Photo after I lightened the pan. I called the manufacturer and was treated rudely, saying the pan was not non-stick. When the cast iron has aged well, it becomes non-stick (if it's real cast iron and not cheaper steel)…

Now I feel like a fast food chef!

We bought this for our camper. It fits perfectly on the rear two low-velocity burners of our standard 3-burner Atwood stove/oven. Heats very evenly and is exceptionally heavy and durable. So far we've only cooked eggs and breakfast sausages on it, but nothing has stuck. We can't wait to cook veggies, steaks, chops and chicken on it. We love it so much we're ordering another one for the kitchen and grill. If you take it well and don't raise your temperature because you're too impatient, it…

I love this grid!

I was looking for a flat top grill to cook hibachi style food and this fits the bill. Pros: Gusseisenhütte can't go wrong. A quality piece of iron. Fits and works great with my glass top electric range. It heats up quickly and distributes heat at about par with other cast iron cookware. Comes pre-seasoned but I still seasoned it when I got it. Also works great in later versions. . The side of the grill (non-flat surface) always produces a lot of smoke when cooking on the stovetop. I've tried…

Pros
  • Item Shape: Rectangle
Cons
  • Good but not great

This pan is very good. I've used it on both the stovetop and the grate of my Weber grill. I actually prefer to use it in a Weber because I can use the heat from the grill to evenly heat the entire pan. This eliminates the cooler spot you would normally use on the stovetop as the burners are only on the ends. I successfully cook fish, beef and great pancakes on the grill. Make sure the pan is well heated before use and always use some fat, like butter, bacon fat or even a little olive oil. It is

Pros
  • Can be used in the oven, stove, grill or campfire
Cons
  • Empty

I've spent a lot of time finding the perfect pan and this one looked promising. I was disappointed when I received it to find that it didn't have a reservoir on the flat side to drain the grease as some reviews said and that looked like it could be in the photos but in the end I didn't Don't use enough lube for this for it to matter anyway. It was pre-seasoned and that pre-seasoning was pretty much useless, so I'm sorry I let that influence my decision. I actually got this for the flat side for

Great little pan.

This cast iron lodge pan is the perfect complement to my cast iron cookware. Right out of the box I heated it on a gas stove to a good temperature to kill germs. Lowered the temperature to low medium, smeared a thin layer of extra virgin olive oil and made pancakes. I was a little skeptical about cooking on them before doing a few more seasoning sessions, but to my surprise they didn't last at all. Then came the potato pancake test. I rinsed them in good hot water, blotted them with a kitchen…
