This is a great product. I have owned my helmet for ten years now. A good Giro cost me $55. It's comfortable and I just didn't see the need to buy a new helmet and looked for an alternative to keep and make it more comfortable. Basically, $5 gets you a brand new helmet, and maybe even better than a new one. I ordered two sets of pads and used some from both sets and placed them right where the original pads were. I had considered adding more padding in a few places, but after trying it on I thought it was good and just didn't need more. I added padding to the back strap where you can adjust the tightness of the helmet. He wasn't there, and that definitely made him feel better. I didn't add more either because with that addition I could see the helmet getting warm on hotter days. I hope the velcro will hold. I used the existing velcro and added more as needed. The front was your forehead, it's an all new velcro that holds the pads where the hooks used to be. If there's a place they can fall, it might be there, but I honestly don't care. They certainly look like new, especially compared to 10 year old worn out pads that have served almost no purpose. A great cheap upgrade to an old helmet and believe me I really wanted to buy a new one because I had a new bike. Now I want to add some reflective stickers to the helmet to add some excitement again without spending too much. Highly recommend them if you are looking to upgrade your helmet and just don't want to spend extra money, especially if your current helmet is fine. It will be like new or even better than new. Happy cycling!
