Note: the pen does not come with this notebook-it's just to show there is a pen holder on the notebook.This is far nicer than I expected. The outside feels rich and the book lays fairly flat without feeling like the pages are going to tear out. It's also listed as "college-ruled" so I expected the lines to be real close together; however, I'd say it's between wide-ruled and college-ruled, which works much better for me. There are 2 attached ribbons to mark your place, plus an elastic full page marker on the back cover. There are post-it style index/tab markers included in the back pocket (I almost missed seeing them). The pages are numbered and there is a place to write the date at the top of each page.
